Art
Peter Rosson is an Australian born Artist. His twenty-seven year practice produced a remarkable body of art. The later, what he considered his most mature work - the World Mandala, Disc and Text paintings - transcending the personal in every way.
The transpersonal Rosson was all about the other. He wanted to hear what everyone else had to say. Of this he wrote:
"As with my desire to make world mandalas with other people and with other materials (they provide) I would also be fascinated to read descriptions of these objects written by observers with less connection to their manufacture and promotion."
This was not always possible, so during the last seven years of his life he set about writing on his life and work. Continuing:
"...I speak for myself in the hope of providing clarity and meaning without the intent of dictating to the viewer what it is they are seeing. My view, even of my own produce, is as subjective [and therefore open to influence] as any other."
